A multi-day gathering to explore the heart of Brookwood. This 3-day experience is designed for individuals and organizations seeking to understand the culture, programs, systems, methodologies, and spiritual foundation that shape Brookwood. This conference includes a comprehensive tour and overview of what we call “The Brookwood Way®”—our beliefs, practices, and the intentional programing that supports adults with disabilities in living lives of purpose and dignity. Community Builders (attendees) engage in breakout sessions led by Brookwood leaders and staff, covering topics such as enterprise development, inclusive on-campus employment, business practices, volunteer engagement, café, retail, marketing, fundraising, staff retention, spiritual life, residential, fitness and activities.

TEACCH Conference

Brookwood's TEACCH Training is 3 days dedicated to deepening your understanding of autism and enhancing our abilities to support neurodiverse learners through the TEACCH framework. Brookwood has been incorporating the TEACCH framework into everyday culture for 30 years.  

Webinars

Webinars are designed to equip, inspire, and connect leaders building purpose-driven, inclusive opportunities for adults with disabilities. Whether you're exploring a vision or actively developing a program, these virtual gatherings offer practical tools, real-world insights, and a network of like-minded changemakers. Webinars are a flexible service based on the organizations schedule and preferences.

The Brookwood Handbell Ensemble, comprised of adults with various intellectual, developmental, and physical abilities who perform across the state at conventions, Astros games, and represent Brookwood through their musical gifts.

Handbells are for Everyone

Learn how to properly hold and ring both handbells and hand chimes while gaining an introduction to reading adaptive notation. The experience is hands-on and engaging with opportunities to see these skills in action through a performance by the Brookwood Ringers and Brookwood Handbell Ensemble. There’s even a chance to step up and try conducting. Attendees will explore the essentials of starting their own ensemble and receive a thoughtfully curated list of resources to support their musical journey.  Handbells allow for the expansion of an  organizations visibility and allow your citizens to showcase their talents to the greater community.
